This book was my cup of tea, as I especially like romantic, erotic captive stories. The man was terrific--big, strong, muscular, tough but gentle and protective towards his captive. Madison, his captive, was a young college student, rather naive, somewhat isolated in her life with unfortunately bad parents.

The author does need to watch herself when it comes to repetitive phrasing. She is far too often using the phrase "pushed off" when someone moves from one place to another. She also needs to watch that she doesn't over use the phrase "shoot off the bed."

While I don't doubt Madison needed therapy--it sort of turned into a bit of repeating what had happened already.

The erotic part of the story was perhaps the best I have ever read--especially liked it.

I have to admit, however, I did not care for the male character's nickname of "Ghost"; his real name, Gage was fine, however.

If you like romantic captive stories, I would recommend this one.

Captive Brighton Walsh 9781250059635 Books Reviews

Couldn't put down once I started. Good read.
Working my way through Brighton Walsh's books, one hot hero at a time.
the story was just ok for me but ive read just as good for a lot less than 9.99.this story wasn't worth that much money to read in my opinion.
I enjoyed the novel. It was intriguing and fast paced. I have a problem with Stockholm novels but this one was intriguing and I enjoyed it. The characters were fun and it was a great read.
This book was amazing. It started a little slow but then I was on the edge of my seat and read this book in 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else. I cannot wait to read Riley's story. I will be waiting for my email saying it is out. Thanks for a great book.
For a "kidnapper-hostage" romance - really nice, enjoyable, well written, great pace. Characters are believable and relate-able, not the average usual type of characters you find in these type of books (she more "real and imperfect" than your common heroine, he's more broken than your usual "alpha" hero) . The plot line is somewhat cliche in some aspects, but when you approach these kind of books - you know the game rules, and when nicely written, it really doesn't ruin anything,

It's not a profound, overwhelming, emotional ride, but I liked it and I'd definitely recommend this one for the genre-lovers.
I really wanted to love this, I even paid $9.99 for the e-book, that's how much I wanted to love it. The writing and pace are good, actually damn good but it just didn't give me what I was expecting. This is NOT a dark romance. Yes, this is a book centered around kidnapping but dare I say it was a touch on the fluffy side? I know it's a NA but when the kidnapper turns soft rather quickly and that's when it lost it's edge for me.

Madison comes from wealth and an empty, lonely life. She ends up kidnapped by Ghost and taken to the middle of nowhere. She's intimidated by Ghost but is determined to escape and when her plan fails he actually softens to her. There is only a few years separating them and once Ghost realizes her life has a lot of similarities as his, he starts to fall for her. Gone is the big bad kidnapper and in his place is the big softy. Within a few days they can't keep their hands off one another and I'm all for lust-induced moments but Madison...he is your kidnapper! Hold off for a little bit!

This may be the perfect book for some NA reader's. For me, I love my men to keep that hard edge and when it's gone I lose interest. However, I did end up reading the entire book because the overall plot was good.
